Terms of Use
Effective Date: May 2026
Welcome to Amy By Your Side.
These Terms of Use explain how you may use our website, www.amybyyourside.uk (“the Site”). By using this Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Site.
These Terms apply to your use of the Site. If you book doula services with us, the details of your support, fees, payment terms, cancellation arrangements and practical agreements will be confirmed separately, for example by email, booking form or client agreement.
About Amy By Your Side
Amy By Your Side provides birth and postnatal doula support. Our services are emotional, practical and informational in nature. We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, clinical care or emergency support.
For questions about your health, pregnancy, birth, baby or recovery, you should always speak to your midwife, doctor, health visitor or other qualified healthcare professional. In an emergency, please call 999 or contact your maternity triage unit.

Doula Services
Amy By Your Side provides non-clinical doula support. This may include emotional support, practical support, birth preparation, postnatal support, signposting, and helping you think through your options.
We do not replace your midwife, doctor, health visitor or any other healthcare professional. We do not make medical decisions for you, speak on your behalf without your consent, perform clinical checks, or advise you to accept or refuse medical care.
You remain responsible for making your own decisions about your care, in discussion with your healthcare team.
Bookings, Payments and Cancellations
If you choose to book services with us, the specific details of your booking will be agreed separately. This may include:
the service or package chosen;
fees and payment dates;
what is included and not included;
availability and contact arrangements;
cancellation and refund terms;
any relevant boundaries around support.
Where services are booked online, by email, by phone or away from business premises, consumer cancellation rights may apply. For service contracts, the usual cancellation period is 14 days from the day after the contract is made, although there are rules around services that begin during that period at the client’s request. UK distance-selling rules also require businesses to give customers clear information before they buy, including business details, service description, price, payment method, cancellation rights and conditions for ending the contract.
