Doula Support

I’m so glad you’re here and that you're considering having a doula with you.

Pregnancy, birth and postnatal life can bring a lot with them. Having someone steady beside you can be a meaningful way to make sure you are cared for too, with support that feels calm, personal and centred around what you need.

My support is gentle, personal and tailored to you. We can shape our time together around what feels most helpful, whether that’s preparing for birth, talking through your choices, talking through how you’re feeling, practical care after your baby arrives, or a little bit of everything.

However we work together, I’ll be by your side with warmth, calm and respect for what matters to you.

From the moment you book, I’ll be alongside you as you prepare for birth, think through your choices, and move towards meeting your baby.

Together, we’ll make time for your questions, your preferences, and anything you’d like to understand more fully, so you feel more informed, more prepared, and more steady.

01.‍ Pregnancy & Birth Support

What’s Included:

A free 40-minute initial consultation where we can get to know one another and talk through what you’re looking for.

At least two in-person antenatal sessions, shaped around you, your questions, and what feels most important to explore. These can include birth preferences, postnatal planning, your options, and any hopes or worries you may be carrying.

✦ A dedicated WhatsApp group from the time you book, with you and your chosen support person, if you have one, so there’s somewhere to bring the little questions, the big questions, and the “is this normal?” moments as they come up.

✦ Signposting to clear, trusted, evidence-based information when that feels helpful.

✦ An on-call period from 38 to 42 weeks, with 24/7 contact during that time.

✦ A calm, steady presence during labour and birth, with phone support in early labour and in-person support when you’re ready for me to join you.

✦ Support for a few hours after your baby is born, helping you feel settled, cared for and able to take in those first moments.

One postnatal session in the first couple of weeks after birth.

✦ Ongoing WhatsApp contact through your fourth trimester.

02.‍ ‍Pregnancy to Postnatal Support

For when you’d like me beside you as you prepare for birth, and still there afterwards as you recover, adjust, and have someone making sure you are cared for too.

By the time your baby is here, we won’t be starting from scratch. I’ll already know what matters to you, the choices you’ve been thinking through, and the kind of support that helps you feel steady. Your postnatal visits can begin from a place of familiarity, trust and care.

What’s Included:

✦ Everything included in Pregnancy & Birth Support.

✦ An initial 12-hour block of postnatal support.

✦ Visits booked in minimum 3-hour blocks.

✦ The option to add extra postnatal hours.

03.‍ ‍Focused Birth Support

For when you would like me with you for labour and birth, but do not need as much antenatal or postnatal support around it.

This package may suit you if you already feel fairly clear about your birth choices, have given birth before, or would like a lighter level of support before and after birth, while still having me with you during labour and birth.

It is also there to make birth support more accessible if my fuller packages are not financially possible for you. I offer this on trust, with limited availability.

What’s Included:

One antenatal session to talk through your birth preferences, questions, and anything you would like to feel clearer on before birth.

WhatsApp support once you book, so you can bring questions, thoughts, or “is this normal?” moments as they come up.

✦ Access to my list of trusted resources, including guides, videos, contacts, and signposting that may be helpful as you prepare.

04.‍ ‍ Postnatal Support

After your baby arrives, my focus is on caring for you as you recover, adjust, and find your rhythm.

This support can be practical, emotional, or a bit of both — shaped around what would feel most helpful for you and your family.

Postnatal support can be booked as a single visit or a block of hours, with visits booked in minimum 3-hour blocks.

What’s Included:

✦ Time to talk through your birth, reflect on your experience, and share anything you are still carrying.

Emotional support as you adjust to life with your baby.

Light meal prep and snacks, so you feel more nourished and looked after.

✦ Gentle support with newborn care as you build confidence and find your rhythm.

Practical help around the house, such as tidying, laundry, or preparing simple things you need nearby.

✦ Caring for your baby while you rest, shower, eat, or have a little time to yourself.

✦ Signposting to clear, trusted, evidence-based information on topics such as feeding and sleep when that feels helpful.

✦ Signposting to local professionals and groups, such as breastfeeding support, baby massage, or parent and baby groups.

Evening or overnight support may be available by arrangement.

  • "When things didn’t go the way I had hoped, Amy helped me feel steady, supported, and able to adjust. The warmth and care she gave me during and after birth was invaluable, and I’m so grateful I chose someone so kind, considerate and compassionate. I really can’t recommend her highly enough."
